Company Background

Choozle is Digital Advertising Made Easy®. The ad tech company provides a digital advertising software platform that leverages detailed consumer data to power programmatic advertising campaigns across display, video, mobile, audio, connected tv, digital out-of-home, and other mediums – all from a single, intuitive interface.

The Challenge

Choozle needed to integrate data from their production advertising platform (a Self Service DSP) with Salesforce to drive forecasting, revenue reporting, and pipeline management. Previous attempts to solve this problem relied on complex Apex code that was error prone and hard to debug and maintain – resulting in the forecasting and reporting commonly being broken.

The Solution

The first thing Rare Karma did was diagnose the Apex challenges and verified the needed integration and process flows. We then worked with their business users in a way we call “techlish”, where we explain complicated technical details in everyday language to relay what our audit had identified. Next we went to work replacing code, some with off the shelf middleware and created something that worked without the need for a heavy uplift on maintenance.
The new solution included the following deliverables:

FORECASTING – Meaningful demand forecasting from their production system using Zapier and Flows that provided visibility by product line across the company’s proprietary production system.

REVENUE REPORTING – Choozle works with many accounts that are part of significant hierarchies in Salesforce. These hierarchies, along with the volume of data, required some innovative ways of rolling up large volumes of data without violating some of the transaction limits that had occurred in the past.

OPPORTUNITY AUTOMATION – When the integration was completed the ad platform system of record, opportunities were seamlessly updated with accurate information to present accurate forecasting for Choozle. This eliminated time consuming tasks and eliminated errors or missing information.
